Gatang Kenari
Gatang kenari is a traditional food of North Maluku that is made from Walnut Crab. These crabs are unique animals because they can pick and peel coconuts themselves. Compared to ordinary crab, the meat of this crab has a more pronounced savory and sweet flavor. The crab is fried until reddish, then served in coconut milk with the addition of citrus leaves and lemongrass.

Lapis Palaro
This traditional Maluku dish is made from beef with a cornstarch sauce. The stewed beef is fried and served with a splash of cornstarch sauce that is flavored with various spices including red chili, red onion, garlic, ginger, nutmeg, cumin, cloves, and coriander.
