Eight Players to Play at KL

Rizchy Subakti and Rivani Adelia Sihotang won the Menpora Emeralda Golf Cup II 2017. Rizchy, who is from South Sumatra, defeated Bangka Belitung’s Nurdana by one stroke with a total of 145 (1-over), while Rivani led over Patricia Sinolungan, Meva Helina Schmit, and Andani with a total of 140 (4-under).

"I dedicated this trophy to my father," said Rivani, remembering her father, David Sihotang, who passed away in July 2017 due to a heart attack.

Although Rizchy and Rivani won the tournament, three runner-up players still have the chance to play in the Kuala Lumpur Amateur Open 2018. This is the commitment from the Association of Indonesian Golf Academy (PAGI), which works together with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Emeralda Golf Club, and the Provincial Board of West Java for the Indonesian Golf Association (PGI) for the Menpora Emeralda Golf Cup II 2017.

PAGI’s aim is to develop talented young Indonesian golfers who are able to compete with international players. “"To increase the competition level and competitiveness of our players, we plan to invite amateur players from ASEAN and even Asia Pacific,” explained Mudjo Suwarno, chairman of PAGI.
