Cobra Golf has released its new driver, the King F7 and King F7+. The two new drivers bring several interesting features and built-in smart technology. Compared to the predecessor, the King F6, this new driver has five percent more face area to improve performance on off-center hits.
Both of the new drivers utilize a Textreme Crown, which can be easily seen on the crown of the blue version but is less visible on the black version. The crown, which is made of a lightweight carbon fiber material, weighs eight grams less than a traditional titanium crown. By reducing the weight in the top of the head, this has allowed mass to be placed low in the sole to improve launch and forgiveness.
Other than that exciting new feature, both drivers also utilize Cobra's MyFly loft adjustability. The feature works directly with the company's SmartPad to keep the face square at address when adjusting the loft and lie settings.
However, the feature that will probably make golfers fall in love with these two drivers is their built-in smart technology. The drivers come equipped with the technology to help you track how well you hit it off the tee. Using the Arccos-supported game-tracking system embedded in the grip, you can check your longest drive, dispersion, etc. If you want to do this, you’ll need to download the app to connect your smart phone with the club via Bluetooth.
The difference between the King F7 and the King F7+ is a wider heel-to-toe and a glossy crown finish on the former. The F7+ is for more suitable for players who benefit from a lower spinning head and lower ball flight.
