A Big Move
After finishing T5 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Tiger Woods jumped up to 105th on the Official World Golf Ranking. It’s his best ranking since April 2015. He was ranked 101st on the OWGR after finishing T17 in the 2015 Masters. It is Tiger’s third move after the Honda Classic and the Valspar Championship when he climbed 155 places from No. 544 to No. 389 and then from No. 389 to No. 149.
But it’s not just ranking points that Tiger is collecting; after finishing T5 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational on March 18th, Tiger secured himself a spot in this season's Playoffs. The only two-time winner of the FedExCup is now 35th in the FedExCup standings. He has 450 points after earning 105 for his performance last week. Last season, 365 points was the magic number needed to qualify for the FedExCup Playoffs.
If he makes an appearance for the FedEx Cup Playoffs, it’ll be the first time he’s competed in them since finishing second in 2013.
